Stuck
There are some logs that are too wet our dense for the splitter. This one was not for being split so wedged on. Took a bit of force to get it off. It's set aside to dry some more before the next attempt. I did manage to get the last of the rounds that were ready split today. It filled another bay and half filled the 4th bay. Pleased to have more split logs drying. We have some lengths ready for cutting into rounds but the brake on husbands chainsaw has gone so waiting for parts for that plus he's busy with other stuff on the farm but at the moment nearly all bays are full so much better than it was.
My sister came this morning to see the horses as she is catching and holding for the farrier when we are away at the end of the month. Just so she knew where to find them and how to work the electric fence. I've been waiting for her fiance's birthday present to arrive all week as they are away today until the following weekend so wanted it to give for them going away. Especially as it's appropriate present, a Scottish rugby woolly hat that he can wear at the match tomorrow at murryfield. I think there's also a surprise birthday get together for his birthday too. Anyway the hat finally arrived at 12.30 today so I phoned my sister and he wasn't home from work yet so I had time to drive it out to them. He even didn't know i'd been!!
