Cactus Surprise

A bright, mild day

We have had this cactus plant for several years and it sits on top of a bookcase in the lounge. We thought it would be a while before the flowers blossomed but my wife noticed a pink flash and turned the pot round to discover this amazing display.

I thought that it was a kind of parable for some people’s lives - often because of low self esteem their true gifts are hidden from view but ‘turned round’ and encouraged, they can blossom.

Watching Children in Need tonight and reminded again of how many people have heartbreaking stories but can be helped by projects supported by CiN.
