the chippy...

...doing stirling business as a wild storm was raging, leaving us ( and many others) without power and us also gas-less as had discovered a leak during the day! So no electricity, cooking or hot water. YIKES.
The chippy, all of 500m as the crow flies, had all of the above so jnr and I had snapper and chips by candlelight and set up camp in the family room on the sofa bed and while he played DS with the last seconds of battery charge and lego by torch light I dozed and listened to the battery radio.

Simple pleasures!
