Royal Albert Hall

We went to the Royal Albert Hall this afternoon for the film "Star Wars - A New Hope" with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It was brilliant. It was Chris and Shelly's birthday present to Geoff. The acoustics in the RAH are rubbish and these baffles were installed years ago to improve it. (also see extra).  Before the show we went to the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch. (see extra).That was an experience too (I tried a Margarita cocktail for the 1st time - also good).

The only frustrating element of the day was that due to the RMT being on strike and Southern deciding that it was the perfect weekend for engineering works, there were no trains from Leatherhead. So we had to drive to Wimbledon to catch one.
