Blooming marvellous

I'd had a day tethered to the laptop and.unplugged myself to make tea. The only time I'd been at home in daylight had been mainly spent in the study and I was wondering what I could possibly photograph today. Going to close the curtains, I realised that I'd completely missed the plant I haven't killed coming into bloom in spite of the odds. I'm still not sure what it is - next mission - plant identification.
