Monmouth Murmuration
We walked from Monmouth Bridge up to The Kymin (Naval Monument) along Offas Dyke footpath to Redbrook and then along the River Wye back to the start.
After refreshements in Wetherspoons, Monmouth, we came out and I caught a murmuration of birds over The Charles Rolls statue (of Rolls Royce fame) which is a grade 2 listed structure. The birds were circling at the start of sunset.
We took the long drive home through country lanes towards Abergavenny and it was a joy to watch the sunset colours develop in intensity.
