Gabrielli’s Apprentice

My friend, Christina, and I are both largely pet-bound currently with high maintenance elderly cats/dogs, so we we decided to nip out for a little break from it all to see the Philip Jackson Behind the Mask exhibition currently in Petworth, and it was wonderful. I first noticed some of his work in the grounds of his studio next to Cocking church and it was amazing to see so many pieces up close and personal and (mostly) indoors. And, excitingly, the great man himself turned up while we were chatting to the gallery owner.

Well worth a visit. Pictured is Gabrielli's Apprentice. I'd have come home with at least a maquette if I'd had enough disposable income...
