Take the guess the word challenge

I finally managed to get a video of the #1son helping me read his favourite book, fish water or A fish out of water. It is probably still a fave as it has a fire engine in it on a few pages.

All of a sudden we (well he, not me) are full on parrot mode. However some words just haven't been quite as easy.

#1son's vocabulary is a curious thing. vlaka (actually pronounced as if you were being sick) was previously water but the one which had the rest of the family wondering about was 'whiteloaf'.

So what could that possibly be? The only clues are that a) it is not an English word since Madame is a French national and b) he is a boy.
