A pretty miserable day - cold and showery. We popped to Dobbies to meet my brother and sis-in-law for lunch. Good to catch up with their news, though we always have to deal with each other’s current ailments first. Poor JR - who is as fit as fiddle - couldn’t join in! We really should meet up more often.

Archie came with us, but stayed in the car. There were two very well behaved 'blind dogs' in the cafe, obviously being trained. We had thought of maybe going on to Dalkeith Country Park, as we were just about there, but it was too dreich to bother. Besides, we like to spend most of the day there. So we came back into town, and I dropped Archie and JR off up the hill, so they walked home. Got soaked, too.

Meanwhile, at home, there was a card saying a parcel had been left at the neighbour's. And this super framed photo was in it! It's a city shot by our guest from the other week - Thanks P.
