Awaiting assembly..
It will probably end in tears! This is the worst part of being creative for me, the assembling of the finished item. I have lost count of the number of children's birthday cakes, pieces of knitwear, bakery items (remember the owls??) and soft toys over the years which have started out really well and then been discarded at the bottom of a drawer following the making up stage. I have all the ingredients for this cuddly teddy but I am delaying sewing him together as I just know he will not look anything like the photo on the pattern. He may end up at the homes of JeanneB53 or Airedaleknitter if this evening does not go well....
It's been a soggy old day so there was much stewing of apples and rolling of pastry this morning, and still there is a heap of fruit left to process. Tony went off to the supermarket so I hoovered up the explosion of oats from the kitchen floor (note to self to speak to Jen about the new packaging); delivered the welcome hellebore to new lovely neighbour D; wrote some thank you cards to the fantastic NHS staff and took them down to the post office then it was time for lunch. More jobs in the afternoon: Premier Inn booking for the big orienteering event next Easter; the starting of the Christmas list; checking out Ravensburger's Christmas jigsaw; conversation with our very helpful banking adviser Liz and, most importantly some initial planning for our Czech trip to see Tomas and Marketa and walk in their beautiful Moravian mountains. Tony has a flight voucher from EasyJet as he had to cancel his Dolomites walking adventure when he received his diagnosis, so we now have the dates to book those flights and Tomas and Marketa will join us in Prague for a couple of days too, perfect!
I may or may not be blipping ted tomorrow....
