Neglect

A couple of years ago I acquired this old treadle Singer sewing machine. It was in very good condition and I planned to do it up as a garden feature.

It has lived outside through winters and summers and is now a sorry sight. The actual machine has collapsed into the rotting wooden case. Thank goodness the metal undercarriage is still intact.
When the dry weather returns I will paint the case and do something creative with the rest.

The old electric guitar has never been used and it too is now falling apart.

How could I be so neglectful?

The falling autumn leaves have created a golden carpet in this corner of the garden.
It's been a terrible day, weather wise, heavy rain and 2C. At 2.30pm it was almost dark and the outdoor lamps were lit.
