Farningham

It has been a lovely bright and sunny morning. We had a short drive to Farningham, a local village . It has some very interesting old buildings.

Looking across the River Darent between the two bridges is The Lion pub that has been an "entertainment centre" since the 16thC. It is now part of the Vintage Inns chain. In the summer the outdoor garden is full of people, today it was deserted.

After a walk on Farningham we did some Christmas shopping at the Hop Shop in Shoreham.

A very pleasant way to spend an autumn morning.
