Goatfell and Ore Terminal Lights 1
I took a detour on the way home from work tonight to photograph the lights reflecting into the Firth of Clyde at Fairlie Bay that are created by the Clydeport Ore Terminal at Hunterston. I was a bit disappointed that the surface was a wee bit choppy, which broke up the reflections. I found that by keeping the shutter open for quite a long time (25 seconds in this case) the motion blur caused the reflections to combine to something more impressive. Part of the island of Wee Cumbrae is behind the cranes, and the snow-sprinkled Arran peak of Goatfell is behind that.
