Ore Terminal Sunset

Driving home tonight I was disappointed that the sky was very dull, but I diverted to the beach at Fairlie to see if there was anything worth photographing. Just as I parked the car, this glorious glow appeared on the horizon around Arran behind the cranes of the Clydeport terminal at Hunterston. Anxious to get the detail of the mussel shelll-strewn foreshore as well as the bright horizon, and to blur the water, I took 3 long time exposures at varying shutter speeds, later combining them in the computer.
