Goldfinch - from my deck

I've been taking it easy for a couple of days, as I've developed a bruise in my knee that is making its way to the surface. Must be like a horse's stone bruise! LOL

So, this arvo, I sat on the deck, long lens at the ready, hoping to catch a chaffinch on my flax flowers. To my surprise, this goldfinch landed on the flowering feijoa, and posed for me. And what a poser he is. So beautiful.
I had to get out my Hand Guide to the BIRDS of NZ to identify him.
