Oh I must buy a scarf for poor Julie
I bought one then gave it to Sue
I nearly kept it for yours truly
But that wasn't the right thing to do

Yes, I picked up a necklace for Pat
It seems such a terrible waste
To spend so much money on tat
But she's got such...unusual taste

And that thing that I thought of for Jack
Was perfect until I discovered
That he suffers with such a bad back
And would rather keep all his bits covered
