Bike
Another dreich day, but Archie and I managed up the hill between showers. It was so eerie up there - thick fog all around, but still and quiet. We met a schnauzer called Angus. Wonder if Archie noticed that he couldn’t see Arthur's Seat... probably not.
JR went into town to return a couple of items she'd brought for me, but they were surplus to my needs. John Lewis has just quietly become dog friendly, our neighbour who works there told us. Don’t know why they're bothering, really, because part of the my reason to go there is to visit the cafe, and I suspect dogs aren’t allowed in.
This morning when I got up, my left knee was so sore that I couldn’t put my weight on it, I had to hold on to the wall to make it to the toilet. I could walk back to bed without holding on to anything. This new pain happens now and again, sometimes on the bike, when I have to just move very slowly and it usually goes away. A most unwelcome development, but I just wanted to note it. But good news! At last I have an appointment with people who know about unsuccessful replacement knees! But it's not till next year. (January)
EDIT: Have just heard from Bailey's mum. They both went to John Lewis this afternoon to choose a new TV, and Janet was able to persuade a staff member to look after Bailey while she went for a coffee! Might try that next week (not the buying-a-new-TV bit...)
