Silverdale

Morning light on Silverdale sands. When we first came to live here you could walk out over this area on sea washed turf. Then as part of a twenty five year cycle it all washed across to Grange on the north side of the estuary.

Now the sand is building up again here and has covered many rocky outcrops.soon vegetation will start to grow again.

Several interesting birds at Eric Morecambe hide. An American Widgeon, but we did not see it. But we did see the Kingfisher. It was really too far away for a shot but I include is as an extra anyway just for the record.
