Special Day

I set my alarm to wake much earlier today, but it wasn't early enough to make G a cup of tea! Oh well... I jumped out of bed and handed her the cards and presents that have arrived (so far).

She went off to work and I dashed around running a few errands. When she got home, there was a banner on the wall, flowers, balloons, cake and a light snack! All happily received! There was time to catch up with messages before meeting up with our friend Jessica at 5pm.

We chose Zabeel House Al Seef to celebrate G's birthday (see extra). We had a lovely, relaxed evening, chatting away for several hours. The property has a number of unique features, one of which is this super-large bowl (see second extra). Jessica treated us to dinner. Prior to that, we walked along the new development to see it in the light. We got home just before midnight. Tired now.
