Transition

It always amazes me how the leaves on the trees disappear without me really noticing.  A gradual process of moving from autumn to winter leaving a landscape of bare stems and branches.  These big bright hazel leaves are some of the few leaves left in the woodland this year.  They hang like paper decorations, or perhaps prayer flags, flitting in the wind as I walk past.
