We popped to the newly opened restaurant across the Meadows. It's dog friendly, and we like the chef's other venue. But this one was a bit more 'upmarket' than the 'gastro pub' in Stockbridge. In fact, I ended up choosing fish and chips. Sounds quite 'gastro-pubbish' except that the chips were 'extra'. JR, more adventurous than I am, had a square chunk of roast pork, with potatoes and salad as 'extras'. Silly, I know - but I couldn’t resist the ridiculously priced rice pudding (with a posh sauce).

Came home via the Links, giving Archie a run, then we huddled round the fire. Elizabeth popped in for a birthday drink, much to Archie's surprise and delight.
