Chomping on seed in the rain and wind

It is wet and windy and life for birds continues to be a challenge. Today we had three bullfinches at any one time and several other birds. If they don't eat quickly the pigeons ands squirrels arrive to devour the remnants, which annoys me. I try to shoo them away or move the tray indoors for a short time, though I'm only partially successful.
