PC PLod

Drove all the way from Inversnecky this evening in torrential rain. Got to Inveraray and was met by PC Plod here who was stopping traffic because the good burgers of Inveraray were having their official Christmas light switch on! PC MacBeth here was stoppoing traffic as Santa and his bloody sleigh (pulled by a 4X4) was being dragged round the town behind the pipe band followed by the townspeople like the bloody Pied Piper!
The traffic from Glasgow was being stopped, so too was the traffic coming from the Oban road result...gridlock. Can we no go through the big one way car park which would take us out the other end of town thereby avoiding all the bloody hilarity "NO" says he. honestly if this guy had a brain cell he would be dangerous! So there was a huge que of traffic going every which way with PC Murdoch stomping up and down the road. One guy came down and asked him why they werent relaying instructions to the drivers further up the chain and he said "I dont know whats going on either" what a tube"!
Anyhows Fat Santa in his big red romper suit passed by and all the towns brats followed him in the vain hope of getting a pressie and finally....we got to go! Bah humbug!
