I did !!!

After breakfast we headed to St Thomas’ Hospital site to visit the Florence Nightingale Museum. I’ve been before on my own and thought that B & R would find it interesting.

They have an exhibition about the Spanish Flu which infected up to half of the world’s population starting in 1918. Visitors are each given a scratch card and as you progress through the exhibition it reveals whether you live or die. I lived!!!

The pictures round the walls illustrate nursing care over the past century. The picture of the toddler on gallows traction brought back happy memories for me, when I did paediatrics in the ‘60’s.

We left R to do other things, as we headed to Kings Cross to get the train home. We collected Amber on the way home. She was delighted to see us and followed us like a shadow for the rest of the day.
