Privileged View

A view of Mourão that not many will have seen. Our Land is on far left of photo. You can see the bullring just to right of tall tower.

The Padre asked Mike to make a rustic stable for the Nativity scene in the main church, so we met him there today to measure the size of the figures and decide a shape. Climbing up to the balcony bit to collect them, I saw another door, which led up some winding schist stairs right to the bell tower (see one of the three bells in extra). Was a bit frightened taking photos in case the bells went, they go each quarter hour, and scared I'd fall off the ledge if it happened while I was up there...

Just missed it, thankfully. And the stable is built, Christmas can happen.
