Young Scot 2018

The day started at home with a business Skype call on the digital programme.

Then train to Bellshill for a couple of meeting in Hamilton.

Afterwards to Glasgow and the Exhibition Centre for the Young Scot awards. An inspiring and emotional evening. The dinner - for 730 guests - see extra for the room - was excellent. A “fellow” blipper (Louisemac) was welcoming us all - see other extra.

The stories of the finalists were inspiring and humbling. The energy and drive of each of them was amazing.

Thecawa d of Young Scot 2018 was presented by the First Minister to Jardan Hay for his campaigning work over 3+ years for LGBTI rights. This has led to LGBTI issues becoming part of the curriculum in schools: a World first for any nation.

Various entertainments were provided including by Max George who had them dancing in the isles. Final extra.
