Harrop Tarn

I went to see the chaps today. It was very wet but very peaceful with the road still closed.
As I’ll be heading off at an ungodly hour tomorrow I came home to find the chaps had got together and treated me to a gift of a book on Lakeland geology. How lovely of them to think of me from so far away and amazing that they knew just what I wanted.
... I wonder what those men in white coats are doing outside...

20 years on and difficult as ever. Extra of Ullswater taken this morning when I took the van for a run to charge the battery. I couldn’t start it yesterday but was pleased to find it got going today okay having put a trickle charger on.

Just not looking forward to the rest of this course...trying to keep an open mind.
