Changing rooms

Ok, so a blip of a room being decorated is a long way from the title of my journal but it was always intended as a warts and all log so along with the glamorous goes the mundane :)

We are having new wardrobes fitted in the new year and while we could have waited a little longer before removing the old ones we had no idea what the walls would be like. So we decided to get rid early so any remedial work can be done.
We are lucky because the walls are fine.

This afternoon I have been at AFC Fylde v Grantham Town. A very interesting afternoon. AFC Fylde 4-0 up at half time and totally in charge. When the 5th went in it should have been game over.

But then our goalkeeper was sent off and with no goalkeeper on the bench it was a midfielder who faced the penalty. It made for a rather nervy last 25 minutes and the game finished 5-3.

To add to the drama, after the game the Grantham coach driver was taken ill and taken to hospital. As I write at 7.30 at night they are waiting for a replacement driver to travel 3 hours to collect them to get them home.

So I've learned today that when hiring a coach, it needs to be a Coachmark company so in the event of something like this happening a local company can get you home. There is a Coachmark company half a mile from our ground. I do hope they get home safely.
