Monday: Towards Downtown

It was a fairly busy morning but calmed down a little in the afternoon. I left a little earlier to go to the first of many Christmas drinks - I have them every night this week. I keep things in check by having a fairly rigorous no alcohol no nibbles policy (not always easy on the latter). Tonight's reception was just over Cambie Bridge, hence the view towards downtown.

Forgot to mention my latest read which I finished this weekend, 'The Sea, The Sea' by Iris Murdoch. K. is a big Iris (as we like to call her) fan, but this was only the second of hers that I've read. I really enjoyed it, particularly the farcical elements of it.
