The Falcon, Bromyard

We popped over to Bromyard to say hello to friends and, on the singaround evening there, to treat ourselves to a night in the Falcon, Bromyard's answer to Fawlty Towers. The Landlord and Lady are, shall we say, one-offs who can be disarmingly charming at times and extremely brusque at others - it seems to depend mainly on changing energy levels! We know at least one couple who were shocked and will never go again - we, however, love it. No airs and graces!

It's great building too, mainly 17th Cent I believe (I've not 'fact-checked' this though) - with nooks and crannies, (including it's own ballroom) at least one ghost and hardly a level floor in the place.

The High Street looks great at this time of year, bedecked with lights supplied and installed by volunteers. Both the town and The Falcon are well worth a visit.
