She can't see me hiding behind this twig!

Well I was delighted to see him, and possibly her, too. There were 2 of these lovely alpine "red" squirrels, which are actually black and white usually, in woodland near the house. Apart from the serious business of sweet chestnut collection, they seemed to be enjoying chasing each other. Then a genuine red, red squirrel came in and joined in the fun. They were quite far away so I was not sure that I had managed to get a decent shot of them with the long lens. What a present for December 1st.
