Very cold

It was very cold this morning, -5 degrees first thing, and it was still -2 by the time I ventured outside. There was some sunshine in the morning but it did nothing to raise the temperature. What did lift the temperature a few degrees was the cloud and rain when it arrived in the afternoon. I would not have been surprised to see some snow, the clouds were looking very dark.

Lunch at the Westhill Community Church. Green Pastures is the name of the cafe. It was very busy when I arrived so I had to wait a few minutes for a table. The rain started while we were there.

I expect the rain will be falling as snow higher up, and the rain may freeze on the roads and pavements in some areas. The gritters will be out today again.
