Escape...

What a difference a good night's sleep makes!! Yes I know I love snuggling with both my kids at night but it really does make a difference just having the one demanding you.

Good conversations over breakfast, quick walk to church, interesting and powerful day - whether God spoke to us as part of the conference is yet to be realised but God was definitely speaking to us, encouraging, reaffirming, keeping us going. Charley had a ball. He entertained, he played, he stole keys out of handbags, he had a great time in creche, then he discovered the door into the carpark....

Home for more great company and conversation, Charley slowly getting used to four legged animals (no longer just shouts when they appear, but still waves his arms in the "get it outta my way" fashion), Steve and Tim chatting away... Looking forward to Strictly, dinner, more chatting and company, and bed :) Finally got up to date with journalling (finally had time to sit down and write!) too :)

Home via Bath tomorrow after church!

Edit before posting: I think God knew what he was doing when we were placed with this family for lodgings this weekend :) Tim and Ana, it has been an absolute blessing staying with you guys, I hope we stay in touch!

Words from today...
Standing on the moors, in the mist. Beautiful, but undirectional. What direction do we go in? See the mountain in the distance - we have a goal but no idea what lies between us and that. As we move forwards, more of the path will be revealed. Growing in faith! The moors - beautiful, but unsustaining. Can't just stay in one place, as beautiful as it is. Life as it is, with Steve at home more, serving the church more, is beautiful but utterly unsustainable in the natural.
Wedding - vows of faithfulness to each other, felt like today we were reaffirming our marriage vows with God.
