Crafting

Back on 3rd November I blipped - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2505675802033521644 - about a Secret Santa game my friends and I had agreed to do this year. Basically, each of us in our 'circle' had to post five random items to the first person whose name they had drawn from the hat on New Year's Day. Then, each of us had to use these items to create a Christmas decoration to be sent to the second person they drew from the hat.

The deadline for sending our creations is next Friday, so I thought I'd better start on fashioning something from the random items I had received in the post. Today's Blip shows what I have to work with. The good news is that one is not limited to the items received - although all of them must be used - but can add other items if he/she wishes.

A day at the table, a couple of trips to the shops, much glue and thread, some tinsel and ribbons, a fair degree of impatience and a few bad words, and a decoration (of sorts) is beginning to take shape. I am not going to share a photo of the completed work of 'art' until after our New Year get-together, but I'll try to remember to post a picture early in the New Year.

PS. I am possibly the worst craft-maker on the planet, so don't get too excited!
