One Waxwing.
What a miserable day! Almost non stop rain and blowing a right hoolie too. My worst combination.
However, after lunch MaggieD and I took a chance and drove east to Bo'ness seeking, if not brightness, at least dryness. We actually found both. MaggieD had heard a report that there were waxwings in Bo'ness so we hoped to catch them. We parked up by the old railway and took a walk round but saw nothing. Moving to another car park, I spotted a wee bird in a tree full of berries. "What's that one?" I asked. MaggieD zoomed in with the camera, "Yes, that's a Waxwing!" So there he/she is, one single, solitary, solo waxwing. There should have been a whole lot more but we have not a clue where they might have been. Any Bo'ness Blippers, please feel free to let us know.
