Silly Saturday

So what was the point of buying a nice lens for my camera, if I'm going to keep sticking an old modified Russian lens on it instead, for my photos? That sounds very silly indeed.

However I was stuck for blip-inspiration today so I resorted to yet another shot with the Helios lens (that's 3 in a row now!). Many thanks to blipper steveng for the idea of using foil (well, he used a space blanket, this is just kitchen foil) to help produce the bokeh. I lit it with a torch, first with an orange filter over it then a green one, and layered them in Photoshop.

Maybe it would have been better for Abstract Thursday but hopefully it's silly enough for Silly Saturday. Thankyou admirer for hosting!
