Bobbin making
A quick visit to the Lakeland Museum - it is dry inside and I find I can go in for free with a pass I bought at the Blackwell Arts & Crafts House. I was interested to see that this bobbin making machine was made by Braithwaites of Crook. I live in Crook but of course there is no machinery made here anymore. I might do some research to see what I can find out. The extra shows the different bobbins made. Off course we don't get our cotton reels from Cumbria anymore, they're probably made in China.
