Talking trees

Having just listened to Peter Wohlleben - author of 'The Hidden Life of Trees' on Radio 4 this morning, talking about how trees communicate, I have chosen a little clump of trees not far from home standing proud in the winter sunshine - having a chat maybe! 
In his book Peter Wohlleben draws on groundbreaking scientific discoveries to describe how trees are like human families: living together with their children, communicating with them, supporting them as they grow, sharing nutrients, and even warning each other of impending dangers. Trees will never seem quite the same!
