Bird On A Rock
As soon as I woke up from spending the night on the couch I called the Green Valley Fire Department Smoke Detector Battery Replacement Office. Yes, such a place with it's own number exists (so does a Green Valley Fire Department Snake number). Thank goodness I listened to the entire message because it stated that if you had an actively "chirping" alarm to call a different number. It turned out to be the snake number, which is really a bigger deal than a chirping smoke detector, so active firemen answer that. The Chief and another firefighter were here in ten minutes installing a new 9-volt battery to save the day!
Yay! Let's hear it for the First Responders!!!
Just a side note: I find it charming that they call a blood-curdling screech every 60 seconds a "chirp." Bed is looking mighty fine tonight.
