Can I get off now?

I’d made a resolution to ignore Brexit until there was something good to say.

Didn’t last long.

Evening reports are that the 48 letters (mostly written in crayon) have gone in and there will be a vote to see if the Tory MPs have confidence in the PM. Which is a tough one, because how can you have any confidence in her; and yet when you see the shifty no marks lining up to take her place, which sane person would want to enable that?

It feels, bizarrely, like the best outcome is for her to win, and the door will be firmly shut on no deal.
