Getting the band back together

It was my youngest’s birthday today, so had a family trip out to a local restaurant, Paradise Palms. Youngest had picked it; it is a vegetarian restaurant, which would have ruled it out right away if I was picking, but it was really good. Also it had a vibe and interior design style I could only describe as cheesy camp, and entertainment that was wholly in line with that theme. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in Edinburgh.

In other news the peasants revolt to overthrow the elite, headed by plucky man of the people JRM, hit a bump when the vote to get rid of Theresa failed.

It has been amusing to see Brexiters justify having a second vote about something agreed decisively in 2016, and then having lost the re-run argue that 63% wasn’t a big enough margin to call a win.

Someone else described this as a vote with no possible good outcome, but I really enjoyed seeing the look on Jacob Tiberius Screw-The-Poor Rees Mogg’s face.
