Escher and others...
A rainy day in Melbourne. This morning I was fortunate enough to meet up with an Australian milliner who has a studio in a gorgeous Art Deco building in the middle of Melbourne, she was so welcoming and gave us great tips for Melbourne too, and we had lunch in a cafe in one of the alleyways she told us about. In the afternoon we went to an Escher exhibition which had just opened at the National Gallery. It was very well curated, and both M and I found things we were fascinated by. There were large optical illusions too, which were stunning. Have captured some of the highlights in the extras.
I really like the vibe of Melbourne, the closest I can get is it has a similar feel to me of Edinburgh... lots of independent shops, great architecture and excellent food.
