Lightwaves

A flying visit to the Lightwaves Festival at the Quays. I was underwhelmed last year, it’s loads better this year.

Main blip - Spectrum, an interactive installation activated by human speech. Beyond - hundreds of school kids pouring out of The Lowry. Dr Doolittle is the big draw.

Extras - The (not so secret) Squirrel; Youth Culture (an ever changing figure); and (reflected in the glass screen) a Blackpool illumination, trying to compete with a rather splendid sunset
