Not the Vanillekipferl
I made some Vanillekipferl (crescent shaped nut biscuits smothered in icing sugar) this afternoon. I made them with ground walnuts for the first time. Apparently they were originally made with walnuts but these days are usually made with ground almonds. They turned out delicious and literally melt-in-the-mouth. I broke quite a few, what a pity, we shall have to eat them ourselves. I should have blipped them but I had cleaned up and packed them away for gifts. The only thing that caught my eye was the reflection of one of the kitchen lights in the triple glazed window. If you screw up your eyes really tight it could almost be taken for the biscuits.
