Schlosshof
I went on a bus trip with the girls to a Christmas market in Schlosshof, a beautiful Baroque palace near Vienna on the Slovakian border. It was snowing quite heavily - quite perfect for a Christmas atmosphere. On the way we stopped at a chocolate factory shop to stock up on supplies. The prices were cheap but not many of their samples I tasted appealed to me, so I didn’t break the bank. We had lunch at a restaurant in the castle grounds then went on a guided tour of the castle. No photos allowed but we could take photos of the immense Baroque gardens from outside looking over to Slovakia. It was pretty cold by the time it got dark but looked lovely with all he lights. See extras. We spent a lot of time at the indoor stalls before it was time to return to the warmth of the bus.
