Mr Speaker

Yesterday I washed the windows as we literally couldn’t see out because of the salt.  Overnight the wind has got up to 50 mph and we cannot see out again.  Potentially we will leave it until Monday and scrape off the barnacles et al.

Despite the constant roar of the wind we have been bothered by the ‘noise’ of Roger Whittaker and ‘England Swings’.  Also ditties by the Krankies.  I went to reason with the aforesaid neighbour and he offered to show me his equipment.

There’s another whisky tasting this evening – this time in the Orkney Hotel.  Buses leave from Saltcoats and will be picking up at Maggieknockater, Dyke, Port Askaig and Thrumster.
