Ready for the Rain

Having a lovely visit from my sister and her husband for the weekend. Managed to get tickets to the La Rochelle game against Bristol Bears in the Challenge Cup. Forecast was for rain - lots of it, so we went prepared. Especially as we had seats in the front fow of a rather exposed stand. It was pouring when we arrived, the seats were soaked and the worst was feared. Then, just as the game started, the rain stopped. The temperature warmed a bit and we could watch the game in comfort. Trouble was, Bristol hadn’t read the script. Having beaten them away last week, we all expected to have a bit of a rout at home. We didn’t. Bristol took an early lead and held on. 3-13 at the end. They defended well, and we kept on giving them the ball. Not our best game by far. Oh well, onwards and upwards.
