Interesting evening sky

The drier weather this morning put me in a better mood after yesterday and we donned our boots to try a walk along the river. Unfortunately, the rain had better ideas and sent us home but at least I managed a bit of a walk.
We had some bad news on our return home, our eldest son in Switzerland rang to say his father in law was in intensive care after having emergency surgery on a perforated bowel last night. Our daughter in law took a plane to Gatwick this afternoon.
The evening sky was looking good.
