Christmas decorations

At the moment, this is the full extent of our Christmas decorations, and it rather looks as though it might stay that way. Our decorator is doing a great job in the lounge but it is a big job with a lot of things to do following the building work earlier in the year, and he has his own problems to deal with as his wife discovered a few days ago that she has an as yet undiagnosed but likely to be serious brain problem, so is due for a scan in the next few days. He's brought in another decorator to assist and the likelihood is he'll be finished before Christmas but we've told him not to worry if it isn't done. Even if he finishes, we won't want to start putting up a tree that close to Christmas so it looks like this will have to do, alongside the Advent Calendar I Blipped a week or so ago.

Very nice lunch with friends today at Raymond Blanc's Brasserie in town, and it got to 6.30pm before I realised I hadn't taken a picture all day.
