Hot gin

Last year, I wasn’t entirely convinced by the notion of hot gin and tonic. This year, I succumbed because I was curious. I am converted.

They use tonic syrup not tonic water, so there’s no issue with it losing its fizz. Drinking it is warming and comforting and really quite nice. And it was served in an adorable enamel mug.

I’ve learnt that I shouldn’t knock it till I’ve tried it.
